Educational Services and Materials
TEFA funds may be used for:
Private school tuition and fees
Online courses and educational programs
Industry-based credential training approved by TEA
Textbooks and instructional materials
Required uniforms
Fees for district classes not counted toward attendance
Other Approved Expenses
Academic assessments
Private tutoring
Transportation to and from approved providers
Educational therapies not covered by government benefits
Computer hardware/software (up to 10% of annual funds)
Meals provided by private schools
Funds may not be used to pay family members.
Unused funds roll over each year as long as the student remains in the program.
